Job Description 

We are looking for well-rounded and driven individuals with a strong background in Computer Science. This role will work closely with all the quants and traders to build a cutting-edge research platform to grow our business. We are looking for a team player who is

  • enthusiastic in statistics and software programming ( highly preferable in C++/Python )
  • having great attention to details with the ability to learn and solve problems efficiently
  • productive and capable of delivering high quality of code and research under time pressure and resource limitations

Please notice that this role has little to do with quantitative research ( check our quantitative analyst JD ). It’s a developer role that supports and improves our quantitative research.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and evolve our quantitative research platform
  • Work with quants and traders on researching and implementing cutting-edge model building pipeline
  • Process petabytes of data and turn them into modern statistical models

Requirements

  • Minimum: bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics field
  • Strong in statistics and experienced in large-scale time-series dataset processing using machine learning tools, cloud-based solutions and distributed computing frameworks
  • Staying current with new statistical modeling and data processing technologies
  • Experienced with modern C++ and Python
  • Familiar with UNIX-based operating systems
  • Capable of working independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong communications skills and good ability to multitask
  • Fluent in English

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in Amazon Web Services ( AWS )
  • Experience with the quantitative research and trading industry

Job Description 

We are seeking a Junior Trading Support Engineer to help us oversee our production trading and operations systems in our Hong Kong office. Job responsibilities include performing daily trading operations, observing program output, diagnosing and solving problems, automating recurrent manual trading operations, developing automated checks and tools to monitor and oversee firm-wide trading.


Responsibilities

  • To reliably and dutifully perform trading operations
  • Investigate, address and escalate trading and operational issues
  • Identify operational tools and enhancements needed to increase efficiency
  • Automate analyses and reports
  • Oversee firm-wide production trading applications

Requirements

  • 1 -2 years previous experience in trading support
  • Working knowledge of financial markets, both futures and equities
  • Comfort and experience working closely with technologists, quants, and trading personalities
  • Effective communicator
  • Hands-on, self-motivated individual
  • Hard working, creative, competitive, patient and detail-oriented
  • Fluent in English, Competency in spoken and written Mandarin
  • Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with Linux/UNIX environments and Bash
Additional Desired Skills:
  • Exposure to MySQL or similar database systems
  • Team player open to discussion and sharing of ideas
  • Experience with Python data and computational libraries
